New Beginnings

I went to communion last night and while listening to a pastor preach about the journey that Christ was on to the cross and subsequent time in the ground, 3 days and resurrection I had an epiphany of my own.  The preacher talked about Christ being beaten but that he still rose again on the 3rd day. I looked over my own life and discovered that this is the 30th anniversary of 'the breakup'.  Then I thought about how God's time is not our time, remembering Sarah and Abraham and God's promise to them. I, of course, like Sarah have taken things in my own hands over these years and caused what I think are some delays to the delivery of God's promise to me. I have done as Lot's wife did and looked back at things God told me to move away from...but I digress.

Last night the chains were broken!  I am done!  Really done and I am free and so comfortable with the decision. I will not accept his phone calls anymore, we have nothing to talk about. I will not see him again, why would I need to?  I'm done and it's time.

Inspiration

I changed jobs this year. After 16 years at one place I knew it was time to GO!!! So I hatched my plan about 3 years prior to the actual move. I planned and completed my Master's Degree in March 2014 and I officially quit my job in June.

I have a new position but I am not settled yet. I love my new location, in a new city and state!

I am in the tech field. I just read a great article and wanted to save and share it so here it is:

A New Career at 55

I love Code Academy and I am thrilled about this woman reinventing herself through them.  We often complain that we can't improve our lives because things cost too much, Code Academy is free!

When I moved this summer I made the decision not to buy cable television.  I am paying for high speed Internet but it is costing me about 1/3 of what my cable bill used to be.  I can go online and learn how to improve my programming skills because that is what I am interested in. If you have another passion I am almost certain that there is a place online that can help you learn how to improve your skills.  Check out YouTube and Pinterest just to get you started.

Greats Thought of the Day

Today is the first day of me blogging regularly. It is something that I've been wanting to do for quite some time but just didn't so here goes.

This space is really a place that I can add all the wonderful resources and thoughts that come into my head. I don't know how long each post will be but here goes. No rules, no judgement. If you don't like what you read, go read someone else's blog, this one is not for you.

First Monday following FALL BACK

This morning as I drove to work I thought, wow, it's really bright out here, I really love when the Daylights Saving Time happens both in the Fall and Spring. In the Fall I like the first work day back because the sun is shining higher in the sky than it did last Friday [if you can see the sun at all].  Sunny days make me happy so I was blissful this morning and I left for work 20 minutes earlier than normal which I discover is the best time to leave so that I'm not late and rushed for the start of my day. Happy Fall
