Marcel is a single dad, living on $13/hour, feeding 2 kids.  He asks Dave Ramsey for help.

Dave tells him to turn off the television and pick up a book.  30 minutes of non-fiction reading, everyday. Dave is going to send him the books.  He needs to get his confidence up then his income up.  That way he can get out of debt and start to win with money!!!

Am I Racist?

Nope, I love everyone but I am in support of the underdog and there is no one more on the bottom of the list than black women.  I am joining this team and I will fight to be the best player on the team. Be the most supportive and complementary team member!

Sandwiched

It's a tough day. I am feeling stuck in the middle in so many ways.  I guess today I am the middle child who has middle child problems.  I was the middle child for 7 years until the baby boy came along so the feelings have never really left me. I think so much about my childhood these days and the things that shaped who I am today.

Today I am the child who is being called up to bat for our mother.  She is sick and suffering from Alzheimer's, a mean and cruel mind sucking condition that leaves a person with no real memory.  Mom has been in Oklahoma for 9 years with the baby brother being her primary caretaker.  About 5 years ago we put her in the nursing home because she just could not live at home while everyone either went to work or school.

This is going to be the BEST year of my life!!!
